I see that you also have the Khyber Bowie knife. Where did you get it? http://photobucket.com/albums/v18/India ... =me081.jpg

Sorry, I don't know what I'm talking about Texas Girl..It's Marion, not Miriam. Miriam is a Biblical name though.. http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/miriam.htm I STRONGLY apreciate blondes too, and as far as Heffers go, The more Heffer the better! (IMHO)

Bienvenue sur notre Club Obi Wan, Elodie.
Is that right?
Looks like you've caused quite a stir in the ranks already.
I've got the same HJ as you, with the black liner. Hope yours fits well. Wear it well! )
Now you've got to get the rest of the gear...
Looks like you are off to a good start!
Pardon me for my bad French...

Bucks, I'll ahem, take that as a compliment. Interesting anology...3thoubucks wrote:Canyon "lights my fire", like a freshly folded sweatband makes my head sweat. That's because she looks kinda like my wife. But Elodie- You do resemble Miriam! If you get a white dress like hers with a big lace flower in back, like in Raiders, .. "I would ver much like to see you in it!" (French accent) An HJ is a beautifull thing. combine 2 beauties and you get double beauty. Fashon hats for women never really went away for ladies like they did for men. Not that hats are all about fashon..there's sun protection and warmth, which is why they exist in the first place.
So you wife looks like me, eh? Spooky.

This was the first time I have seen the pics of her collection, and I think it's fair to say that Elodie is not only a SERIOUS collector, but has easily earned her spot on COW. My goodness! There is stuff there that I have never even seen before!!
I feel like a bunch of slack-jawed guys on a basketball court, and a beautiful lady not only joined the game, but slaughtered the entire boys team!!
That is an AMAZING collection!

In fact... I start this collection in july 2002.
Because I know Indiana Jones only since the 8. may 2002
Why have you only known about Indiana Jones since May 8, 2002? Was that when you saw one of the movies for the first time? You have been very busy to collect all of that in such a very short time. I thought that you must have been collecting for several years. It appears that you are having a lot of fun with the hobby.

I've only been at COW for a few weeks but I'd like to say Hi too Elodie.
This lot are very friendly as you have already seen and very knowledgeable about all things Indy.
Only problem is my wallet has taken a pounding since signing on here. It's very hard not to be swept along by everyone's enthusiasm as you hop from board to board!

Well said, Gater, well said. That truly is an amazing collection, Elodie. The Mercedes hoodpiece is a clever touch!Indiana Gater wrote:I feel like a bunch of slack-jawed guys on a basketball court, and a beautiful lady not only joined the game, but slaughtered the entire boys team!!

It's great to see young fans of Indiana Jones - like yourself, Andiana148 and IndyMcFly - at least I know IJ will still have a strong fanbase for a long time!
Welcome aboard, and watch your wallet! - J
P.S. Now if Swindy could just make ME look as good in my avatar...oh, well, some things movie-magic just cannot overcome.

That's okay, Jerry. We understand. Tell you what I'll do to help you out, I'll count up all the money I've "acquired" and umm.... keep it all for myself. I'll send you a nice card, though.Indiana Jerry wrote:Now if Swindy could just make ME look as good in my avatar...oh, well, some things movie-magic just cannot overcome.

You aroused my curiosity Jerry, so I thought I'd give Sherlock–the mac's built in translator–a try. It uses systran to translate. Here's what I got:
hello, elodie! You are to look at nice with the cap. Let know to us if
you have any questions. We are always happy to help.
That is probably the best machine translation I have ever seen! Although I guess translating hat as cap is pretty inaccurate.

Reading this again, and looking at your signature...you have no need to apologize for your english. At least you are trying. I'm actually in awe of most of the world...hang on, let's say, everywhere outside the US...where learning more than one language appears to be fairly common - or is this a misconception?elodiejones wrote:I think translators are never perfect.
I like more translate with a dictionnary.
It's long, but better for learn a language.
Your english is MUCH better than my spanish, and I even have occasion to use it - but it would never be good enough to post on a forum board!
Kudos to you for not only trying, but doing great. Now, back to that hat...

Elodie, you speak better English than some Americans I know! And I wish the U.S. would learn to be multi-lingual like Europe. If i had learned a second (or third!) language as a child, imagine how fluent I'd be! My wife is currently learning Arabic and I'm considering trying to relearn all the German I took in high school.
