New 8-plait Indy whip
<img src="http://www.savepic.com/freepicturehosti ... itIndy.jpg" border="0">
This is an 8-plait Indy-style bullwhip that I made this weekend. It has a packed leather core, 2 bolsters, a plaited belly, and an 8-plait overlay. This whip completes the range of Indy-style whips that I can make.
To sum up:
Indy-on-a-budget bullwhip: $10 per foot
8-plait cowhide Indy whip: $15 per foot
12-plait cowhide Indy whip: $20 per foot
12-plait kangaroo Indy whip: $30 per foot
Both twelve-plait whips have two plaited bellies. To have a wrist loop put on the 8- and 12-plait whips costs an extra $10.
This 8-plait whip is not a new product for me, as I've been making them since I started making whips. This is the first time, however, that I took the design and adapted it to have an Indy look.

Bink, why don't you get a one footer for 10 buckaroos right now and you can crack indoors while brushing your teeth or watching TV?
I know what you mean though buddy. Where I live, it gets dark very early this time of year and I need to find a lamp post to see what I'm actually cracking at.
This whip thing is growing on me, thanks to Adam.
Regards,
Swindy

That's mine!
Been reading the boards over here for a while but this is my first post so hello to everyone.
I ordered the whip from Adam only 2 weeks ago and he has done a fantastic job of making it so fast and to my exact specifications.
Can't wait for it to arrive. Need some cheering up as the weather in the UK aint too great at the moment as you might imagine.

Don't feel too under the weather, I'm still waiting for the weather here in Texas to get under 70 degrees so I can wear around my new Wested, dangit.Need some cheering up as the weather in the UK aint too great at the moment as you might imagine.
Man, Adam sure knows how to tempt his customers....I'm holding out for a Stenhouse but I could spring for one of these beauties right now....well almost. (How do you convince your wife to let you shell out a couple bills for a bullwhip? All I get is - "Hmmm. That would be about 100 diapers and a bin of formula..." Aw, man! )
Thanks for the welcome and for the link!binkmeisterRick wrote:Try this link. It's made for such requests.

At least you have rain together with a relatively mild climate, IndyUK... Up here in the arctic wastes, ice and snow soon will cover all that is living... it's just a matter of days, or maybe weeks... we will ascend into a chilling darkness for the next four months. It's almost like dying once a year...
Jealous?

Sun? Shorts? Convertible?Texas Jones wrote:Yeah, it really *****, IndyUK. Today I had to put the convertable down on the way home. I also had to put up with wearing shorts, heaven forbid! Now I have to go suffer through another supper on the patio watching the clear sun go down. So how's your rain gear holding up, buddy?

TJ

Well I received the whip a few days ago but have been holed up in bed with a nasty bout of flu so it has taken me till now to post my appreciation.
Thanks Adam. This is a beautiful whip. I dare not take it outside at the moment as the weather is approaching freezing point, but man it is a beaut.
I'm happy just looking at it for the moment.
When I have a chance I will take some more pics to add to the one at the top of this thread.
Outstanding work!
