Post by Kilgour Trout »

Welcome aboard! Don't worry about the English, most of us can't speak it either!  Bink actually learned "English as a second language here!" It's true!...We're not sure what his first language was "but the way he writes" :?  BTW...Great looking gear Elodie, I was just wondering what kind of whip that is, if you don't mind me asking? It's not one of Adam's Budget Indy's is it?

You have quite an impressive gear collection, congratulations. Is this your first 'Indy' style fedora? When I first got my Peters Bros. custom Indy, I was happier than a kid in a candy store. What's it like to wear? I've never owned a Herbert Johnson fedora, so I'm just curious: is it comfortable? What sort of felt is it made out of? Anyway, thanks for the pics! You look very sharp in them :)

Welcome aboard, hope you enjoy your stay here @ Club Empty Wallet..er..Club Obi-Wan. :D

Welcome to COW Elodie. Great photos of the HJ! I like your other gear too. Don't worry about your English as long as we are communicating that's all that matters! If that doesn't work you can always dazzle them with a photo of you in your HJ. :D

Actually, the Akubra works well with that scarf! I have a couple Who scarves which come in handy during colder months! That's the cool thing about a good fedora. As you can tell by Elodie, a good fedora looks great with about anything you wear, be it jeans and a shirt, or a three piece suit.

Thank you everybody!
You are really a "friendly group of people "

I don't know if I can answer at all questions...

Thanks for my English. My language is French. And in Switzerland, we don't learn Englsih at school !!! :(

Canyon : the gun is only a toy from Disneyland Paris. My father cut the cannon. For look more like the Indy gun

Redbeard : The poster is a stickers for the release of Indiana Jones DVD.
The store give it and all other publicity to me.

binkmeisterRick / Langpuss : Thanks for the monkey

Kilgour Trout : My whip is a simple whip from a swiss magazine : ERNEST ROTH SA. The whip is a wester mexican whip COLORADO SPRINGS 3 meters 22$

Strider : Yes, it's my first real Indy style fedora. Befor, I had the Disney hat. And like you "I am happier than a kid in a candy store"

Swindiana : I don't know for the bag ??? What is different ?

Thank you everybody!

And me, still bothering the new folks with bag questions.

If you look inside the flap, are any of these markings around?

ImageImageImageImage

Also, if you look at the snaps and find an inscription that says: "Newey", it's a British one. If not, it could be Canadian or Australian.

First you need to resize it to 100x100 pixels. Then upload it to your picture site. After that, right click your image and pick "properties" in order to copy the address for it. Head for your 'Profile' link and paste the image address where it says 'Link to off-site Avatar:'
That should do it.
Your image address would then be something like this http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v18/I ... avatar.jpg

HERE is a resized version of it.

Canyon "lights my fire", like a freshly folded sweatband makes my head sweat. That's because she looks kinda like my wife. But Elodie- You do resemble Miriam! If you get a white dress like hers with a big lace flower in back, like in Raiders, .. "I would ver much like to see you in it!" (French accent) An HJ is a beautifull thing. combine 2 beauties and you get double beauty. Fashon hats for women never really went away for ladies like they did for men. Not that hats are all about fashon..there's sun protection and warmth, which is why they exist in the first place.

Welcome Elodie! It's good to get some more estrogen on COW. I just thought of something...since we're on COW, and we're female, does that mean the guys can call us Heffers? Oh my! I hope not.
