Signing for a Wested?

Post by NewJerseyRaider »

I should be expecting my Wested Raidres in about a month or so, and I was wondering if theres a signature required at time of delivery?
I havent heard anything about it, but I dont wanna delay it anymore than possible. Thanks a lot,

The jacket arrives via USPS Global Express Mail, and the mailman will actually bring the package to your door and have you sign for it.

In my experience there's usually a customs bill that follows about a month afterwards.

Yeah, we have to sign for it in the UK at the time of delivery.

But here's a thing - when I order something from the US, and if the item has taken the interest of the nice people at customs ( ) then I have to pay the customs bill there and then, on the spot when the item is delivered. If not, they take the item away again until you go to the depot with the cash.

Yeah, that happened to me when my M-1913 Patton Sabre was delivered from the states, Customs hit me for $250 on the spot! Not a nice way to wake up in the morning!

I think I lived on 'Happy Shopper' bread and baked beans for a month after that!

Ok great, thanks a lot
I'll hafta make arrangements with my local PO so they can just drop it off.
In case any of you guys want your mail carrier to just leave any packages without you actually having to be there to sign for it, what you do is leave a note asking for a #3849 pink slip, or just a pink slip, as im not 100% positive thats the correct number. Thats the little piece of paper you have to sign when they deliver it. Then make sure you sign AND print your name, then leave that slip in your mailbox with a note saying to just use this slip when your package arrives.
This little trick can work with anything that needs to be signed for, unless its a certified reciept, then you hafta sign a slip on the package itself.
I learned this while working for the post office, hope i've been some help!
