Wested "Grail Diary" pockets

I've seen several references in this forum to an inside "grail diary pocket" on the Wested. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but, it is my understanding that Indy never carried the diary in an inside pocket, always his left exterior flap pocket. I've watched the movie closely and I've never seen the diary removed from an inside pocket of Indy's -- only Elsa's during the book burning rally.

Have I missed something?

I think the production team was considering an inside pocket and told team Wested to their plans before deciding while filming their change of plans

I think the original plan was for Indy to carry the diary in his inside pocket, but it was never used that way during the movie.

I guess Harrison could have popped it in there between takes.

Interesting observation. I just happen to watch LC last night. I too noticed the grail diary in Indy's left outside pocket. Did not see it removed from an inside one.
hmm....guess I'll have to watch it again to be sure...

I ordered my TOD last Thursday. I was talking to (Gerry?) about adding the RH pocket and putting zips on both. He told me it would be better to leave off the zipper on the LH pocket as it was cut bigger to hold the grail diary and would be too bulky. I took this expecting that the LH pocket would be oversized compared to the RH one I am adding. Which to me is not a bad thing
