Crown length

Post by Strider »

Since I've not been fortunate enough (yet) to own a Herbert Johnson or Lee Keppler Fedora, I'm wondering how tall the crowns of these hats are.

I've been wearing my Peters Bros. Fed around, and the crown on it is about the size of a 12 oz soda can. (I couldn't find a ruler or tapemeasure at time of posting.) Is this too tall? Just wondering. Thanks.

Regards,

Open crown (bashes popped out) should be 5.5 - 6 inches and that makes a good Indy hat. It depends on your frame and what looks good on you. Me, I like the 6 inch.

I agree, I'm going to go with the Six inch open crown next time.
