The straps on my auth. lamb are slipping terribly (I have D-ring fasteners). I'm having to adjust them twice daily on average, sometimes four to five times. I've tried reversing the D rings -- that seems to help, but very little. I've also tried the S (or Z) fold -- no dice.
I've been fiddling with this for the last few days, and I feel like I've tried everything aside from having elastic put in behind the straps. Any ideas on how to keep these things in place? I'm sure there's something that hasn't occured to me.
Put the strap though like you normally would, then turn it around and put it back through again, on top of the other loop. This is how they did the straps for Raiders, most likely so they wouldn't come undone. This is why I hate the D-rings and much prefer the 2 rectangular holders.
Yeah, that's what happens with D-Rings. Mine come off all the time on my US Wings.
If you'll notice in Last Crusade, Indy's straps are undone quite a bit, especially on the Tank. I don't think there's much you can do about it excepct secure them every once in a while.
How about taking a small and narrow strip of black friction tape (sticky on both sides, used by electricians) and wrapped a small sliver around the middle of each D-ring. I've never trid it meyself, but I bet it would because of the friction caused by increasing the thickness of the D-ring plus the sticky-ness of the tape. If you make the width of the sliver of tape narrower than that of the straps, you wont even see it.
