Regarding color alone, who makes the best color pants?

Some times pictures are a bit misleading.

Been wondering this myself.

The general suggestions all seem to be taupe, although a lot of pictures and screen grabs look like tan, khaki, or desert sand. The lighting (and distressing, i.e. dirt) apparently have a lot to do w/ it.

Is that right, folks, is it always taupe, just w/ different lighting/color exposures, or is this like the brown/black ribbon thing or the tan/brown web belt thing?

Were the pants ever khaki, or always taupe?

I suspect they were taupe. That particular color almost always shows as grey-ish on film... The ToD and LC pants had a bit more of a reddish tint in them - accordingly, they show less as grey, and more like brown...

Wested's current color is very close to what was seen in ToD and LC.

Noel had the Raiders color nailed. The Wested is great for LC.

AC
