Side-arm crack

Hey guys, can anyone help me out with this side arm crack I cant do it, of coarse im doing something wrong. Please any help or suggestions will be appreciated, Thanks

There is a good explanation and a small quicktime of Karen Quest doing it. I downloaded it and ran it slo-mo a few times and figured it out from there.
