Bought my first wested
Hey people
I just bought my first wested on thursday! Despite being a poor college student I decided to take the plunge mainly because I needed a new jacket anyway and I got this cool Indiana Jones fedora so I figured I should have a jacket to match it. I didnt have any idea what a wested was a couple of days ago, but after reading your posts I pieced together what I should order. I ordered the Temple of Doom jacket in authentic brown goatskin with double gussets. I just hope I picked the right size, I dont know what I wear, I picked a 42 Regular. I am 5'10" and about 155 pounds with a 40 inch chest so hopefully I will be ok. Just wanted to let you guys know thanks for all your posts so that I could make an informed decision!!

Welcome aboard, chaddyboy! If you had all your measurements taken and sent them all to Wested, then you should be just fine! Remember, this is a custom jacket, so it's made to fit you. If you have any doubts about sizing, feel free to give Peter a call and he'll make sure he gets it right for you. He's a great guy to talk to and makes a wonderful jacket. Good luck and post pics of you wearing it when you get your jacket!

I just bought a TOD Wested as well! I ordered it on the 15th of this month, and got my confirmation e-mail on the 16th. I ordered a dark goatsking TOD jacket. I'm 5'7", 170 lbs with at 42 chest. SO, I ordered a size 44 jacket, but requested that the sleeves be made to the length of a size 42 jacket, so that they won't be hanging down over my hands. I can't wait til it comes. I try to tell myself not to think about it so that I'll be surprised when it gets here, but boy is that hard to do.

Good move getting a Wested - thats what a student loan is there for. Really its amazing how you can justify spending on Indygear and then compensate by getting shops own brand baked beans, etc. But hey - thats student life.
Looking forward to hearing how you find the jacket when it arrives.
All the best!

Most of them are of the jacket being brand new though.

What's funny is that it was supposed to be a shirt and the jacket for Christmas, but when the wife saw that shipping is free if you order the pants as well, she ordered the pants, too, to avoid paying shipping. hehehe!
This order refers to my new Raiders Authentic Lambskin...details atDear Robert
I am pleased to advise you that your jacket, shirt and pants request
has
been processed for production today under order number XXXX, which I
would ask you to quote in all future correspondence.
I look forward to dispatching your jacket in approximately 21 days.
Cheers Peter
