Where's my jacket?

Post by Mr. Das »

Wested sent me a tracking a few weeks ago that became active late last week. It was stuck at Charlton Depot for a day, then went to the International Hub for three days, then left Heathrow Airport on the 21 at 8:20. I'm not sure what time zone this was as I checked the tracking 2 days ago around midnight and saw that.

I looked up Heathrow in google and saw it was in London....I couldn't find where Charlton was as it kept showing it was somewhere near Boston(not likely!). So basically, the jacket has been in flight for more than 2 days without stopping anywhere....any clues where it's at?

Obviously, I have no idea. But, if I had to guess, I would say, Customs. My jacket was held up by US Customs for two weeks. I don't know if this is the case for you, but it could be. I suggest you contact Gerry or Peter at Wested and ask them what their shipper is telling them.
Good luck and let us know how this turns out.

I ordered it in mid-August.

I didn't contact Gerry/Peter because they would have done what I did as well, which was send off an e-mail to Parcelforce asking about it.

I'm with Mikey on this one. Customs work in mysterious ways... I even had a gear shipment from the U.S. 'bounce' betwen the Swedish and German customs a couple of times until said shipment decided to land in Sweden... :-s

I prefer being in my gear when it decides to visit that many exotic locations. 8)

Good luck with your jacket. I'm sure you'll have it soon enough and will be able to wear it in good health.

Maybe customs cause I checked the tracking and it's now at the delivery depot in Canada(doesn't say where, but I assume in my city).

Mikey, a whole month? That's nuts. They must have used it for a few costume parties for it to be delayed that long.

I remember I ordered a few DVDs from the states and it took 3 weeks. I was thinking customs, but I was also thinking, how many ways can you check to see if a DVD is legit. I got the package with the notice from customs that it was opened. But one look at the box and I realized why....it was a box wrapped in a brown paper bag type cover, with duct tape keeping it together and a few water stains on the sides. When I saw it on my doorsteps, the first thing that went in my head was BOMB!
