Prescription
My eyes are good enough to see without them, though because I am far sighted they cut back on the strain.

I've had them for a couple years and decided to break them out again too much eye strain... I have veins that decide to burst once in a while because I am too stubborn to wear 'em.
According to my Occulist my prescription is still correct.

Interesting point: If you look at my Avatar, it looks like my eyes are naked and I should be wearing glasses.

I hit a homerun this weekend. I'm always on the hunt for gold filled wire glasses from the 30's and 40's that I have my prescriptions put in, and found a brand new, NEVER worn NOS pair of 12KGF wirerims with the display clear glass still installed for TEN BUCKS! I've seen them advertised through a New York retro NOS glass frame 'store' for well over $280, so I'm a happy camper today! Those glasses suit your face perfectly, Matt. Start wearing them too! Last thing you want to do is mess around with your eyesight at your age. I'm told I may be in the first stages of macular degeneration in my left eye due to waiting to long between prescription changes (what, 10 years is to long Doc?

I have a pair of rimless specatcles from the 30's/40's that belonged to my great aunt years ago. They're very reminicent of the specs Henry Sr. wore in Last Crusade. I have the original lenses still, but had replacement ones made in the same shape, but to my perscription.

Need to start a Frames thread on Fedora lounge.

Looks like alot of classic glasses need to be seen.

Havershaw has some pretty nifty 40's frames that fit his look perfectly.

Amen to that, Matt. He looks like he was born to wear those style frames! Bink, I also found and wear a pair of rimless wires, and they still had the 1936 dated prescription inside the case when I purchased them at an antique store for $6.00! There's a LOT of good REAL gold frames out there that were little worn, and can be purchased for a song if you dig for them. I've also seen folks try and sell some real dogs for $85! So, shop carefully, and you can really find some treasures out there without falling back to retro reproductions (not that there's anything wrong with them.) High regards. Michaelson

I found a pair of Victorian frames for ten buck that I had new lenses put into. Yep, it's just a matter of keeping an eye out! So to speak...

Wooden eye... hmmmmmmmmmm.

I guess that lens doesn't need a prescription either.

If I remember correctly old Indy from the Chronicles had a patch over one eye.
