Whips in Waxahachie Texas

Post by Robert Duke »

Hello,

I will be a featured craft vendor in the Texas Country Reporter Festival this Saturday in Waxahachie, Texas (about 35 miles south of Dallas). It is sponsored and promoted by 2 Dallas TV affiliate stations (UPN & CBS).
Over 100 craft vendors applied and only around 100 were approved incldding DukeWhips.com
I will be in the 9:30am parade and in the booth the rest of the day demonstrating whipmaking and showing Indy whips among the many whips on display. http://www.8countryreporter.com/fest_info2.htm

I would love to meet some of you so come on by and say howdy.

How was it? I would have loved to have been there but I had my HS 10-year reunion all weekend.

Hello Holly,

It was very hot and also busy. I had an ideal spot for the booth on the corner next to the main stage. Rick Trevino was the headliner.
Most of the kiddos wanted kiddie whips which I don't make or sell. Whenever I told people how much the whips were, their hands would jump off the whips they were fondling. :)

I did several performances with the whips to lots of good applause. I had a great time. The local newspaper took pictures and had me in the Waxahachie newspaper.. I bet there was 30,000 people there.

Keep on cracking!!!!

Robert
