How many jackets are there......?

Post by MARQ »

Hi,for some time now I´ve been wondering this: how many of you lads an gals own the jacket !? this is kinda like a poll for seeing how many there are. Also i´d like to know are you happy with your jacket(s) anything that comes to mind about it is appreciated. My own jacket is NEARLY ordered but there a bit of doubt about the fit,so this should guide me to the "right" track I hope.

Fellow fans,take part.

Hi, MARQ. I assume you're talking about Wested orders? If so, I have a Wested Raiders in authentic goatskin and I love my jacket. It fits me wonderfully. I remember having doubts about the fit, but if you talk to Peter over the phone and tell him your concerns, he'll treat you right. The man knows what to do! Even during the wait, I still couldn't help but be a little nervous, but after my Wested arrived, I found that it was the best fitting jacket I've owned. Peter took everything I said into account and it shows!

I have the Wested "Temple" authentic lambskin jacket. Living in Sweden, we get the occasional cold winters, so I ordered my jacket with underarm gussets (in order to acommodate a thicker sweater)

The Wested is the best leather jacket I've owned in 20 years!

I own a Wested Raiders authentic lambskin jacket, and it's the finest jacket I have. I didn't go through the ordering process with Wested -- I purchased mine from another COW member whom the jacket didn't fit. Luckily the jacket fits me perfectly. It goes everywhere with me now.

Authentic brown gooatskin raiders which I've had since the end of last winter, and an authentic brown lambskin on the way. Excellent jackets, with excellent accuracy for an excellent price. 8)

How many "Indy" jackets?

Post by Indydawg »

Well, currently there's only one IN my closet (Distressed cowhide FS Expedition), but I have two Wested LC jackets on their way back to me after a couple of years in the capable hands of trusted individuals-one distressed cowhide and one goatskin.

So....that'll be three Indy jackets in the closet by the end of next week, I guess.

Michaelson-I've lost track of which jackets YOU had....4?! Are any of those ones acquired via OUR back and forth over the years? Just curious, my friend.

Later!

Just wondering which of the jackets in your closet were from our back and forths.

There would be NO way to recall how many jackets have passed between us... ....too daunting a task!

I've had a Cowhide darkbrown Wested LC, courtesy of Indiana Sith
Sold it to Indiana Mitch,
I've got a dark brown Wested Goat TOD, that I distressed.
and last but not least, my new favorite,
A Wested Authentic Brown Lamb TOD. Boy is this thing awesome.
I got this one second hand from Mr Das up in the Great White North.
Mintier than mint, and fits like a glove, (and to borrow a joke from a fellow gearhead) which is weird because it's a jacket. :P

I have an authentic lamb Raiders. Just one, and I'm perfectly happy!

This post has made me realize that there must be thousands of different combinations possible, that maybe no two of our jackets is exactly the same. There are three different styles, many leathers, a few side-pulls, different lining combinations, gussets, on and on. The possibilities are exponential!

2 for me.

1) ROTLA distressed cow. I've had this one for about 7 years and just had the linning replaced, still an awsome jacket for those colder New Englad nights.
1) ROTLA Auth goat. Just got this one a short while back and love it.

2 ROTLA pre-distressed cowhides. One's a Wested and the other is an Expedition. I've previously owned both lamb and goat Expos and wore Indydawg's deerskin Expo for awhile a couple years back but I guess the deerskin doesn't count.
