Wested visit in january, some questions.

Post by Indianafred »

Hi folks

Plane tickets are booked, so are the hotel rooms.
Will arrive at Stansted, 11:35 friday the 14th

Now, im planning not to go the usual way by train from victoria station in London.
Instead, i would like to go directly from stansted down to swanley, Kent.

Can i pull this trough?
and whitout too high costs?
If yes, how do i travel down from Stansted?

Thanks :D

Regards

I'll look into it more, Indianafred, but I believe you still have to pass through Victoria Station... the Stansted Express arrives at Liverpool Street Station and you'll have to get to the Southeastern trains departing from Victoria in order to get to Swanley.
Then again, you could always take a taxi... might cost a bit, but it sure gets you where you want to go...

Fred,

Train is going to be the easiest & cheapest way to get to Swanley from Stanstead :)

You see if you think of Stanstead as at the 12 o'clock position on a clock face, with London (& Victoria station) as the centre of the clock, geographically speaking Swanley is between the 4 & 5 o'clock position.

Driving would mean going round the M25, which in a taxi would cost you as much as the price of a jacket & possibly MORE!

Unless you plan to hire a car & make good use of it while your here, let the train take the strain
