The bag is made out of a fairly lightweight fabric, making it easy to stash away in the Mk VII... I decided to go with the "light distressing" which fits my taste more - and, frankly, Wayne's description of the "full distress" scared me a little...
When looking at screenshots, Indy's bag is admittedly a bit dirtier and after I checked out the pics on RPF, the full distress bag ain't half bad... I don't think anyone who ordered it will be disappointed.
All in all, the Wayne's creation is a splendid replica and Wayne himself is a great guy to deal with! The bag will sit just fine next to my Gobler Idol. If there will be another sandbag run, I strongly recommend you pick one up...

Actually, I went for the only true COW-approved bagfiller... coffee. Smells excellent!

Not an expert by any means, but I guess that depends on what your current bug-status is, ITG. I've never been to Texas, but have been in hot and humid Georgia and Florida... as i recall it, leaving food out would attract roaches. I guess the Lone Star State would not be as humid as the Peach and Sunshine States - maybe the bug situation is different...
Then again, I'm not sure how much bugs like coffee. If I was to fill the sandbag with mashed bananas, or minced meat, then I would have problems (quite intricate ones too, I guess) but coffee... I dunno. Better ask an expert -

My Raiders sandbag arrived today. It looks great. The full weathering is not so bad that you want to hold it by the leather strap with two fingers or something. People that opted to get light weathering are gonna be sorry. Thanks PR for a job very well done.
When I use slang and write things like "gonna", I am typing in a lighthearted "tone of voice" as if we were just hangin' around, shootin' the breeze. I was not making any great, profound statement here or trying to criticize anyone about their choice.
In person or on the written page, it is usually not hard to tell when I'm really serious. Heck, I'm only good for one or two serious posts around here per year. I can't start gettin' too serious around here, how serious are you going to take someone going by the name of Bufflehead?
Well, I can appreciate that - but as someone who has often been misunderstood myself for the way things appear in print, I guess I'm keen to know what people mean when they say things. See, to me, your comment suggests that people who bought the lightly weathered bag are suckers and are going to be sorry they didn't get the full weathering. Whereas I'm just making the point that there are lots of reasons for not getting the full weathering. Indeed, some bags were ordered with NO weathering. So I'm just trying to say, "horses for courses" I guess

I could really care less which bag someone decides to get. I saw the pics of the completely white one, the lightly colored one, and the fully weathered one. They all look good. It just depends on what you want it to look like. I just had not seen these pics when I ordered my fully weathered bag. I am not sorry that I did.
My comment was aimed towards those that were a little afraid of getting the fully weathered one, fearing that it looked like it had come from a toxic waste dump or something. I was just implying that noone needs to worry, if you get the fully weathered one, you are not going to be afraid to touch it and have to pick it up with two fingers or anything.
I think it is a job very well done by Wayne. I also think it might be a cool idea to have one of the bags with no weathering.
I fully understand needing clarification on things that are written. It is at times harder to express your meaning without vocal inflections and also it is at times fun to ponder what the writter may have meant.
Thanks, guys. I didn't mean to start any arguments. Personally, I think you should all buy THREE bags: One unweathered, one "light", and one "regular".
Hey, maybe I'll start offering a "dark" or "heavy" version, too.
