He would probably be equipped with all kinds of state of the art electronics and a handheld GPS, that would help him trough his daily work in the field and not to talk about his endless travels around the globe.
The small handgun has also been replaced by a smaller version of the MP5 machine gun.
The ordinary whip has been replaced by a longer one, wich shots out from his belt by the touch of a button on his now armoured shirt.
He still has his HJ fedora of course, he wouldnt be indy without it
Regards
Fred

He'd definately have this:

And as for a sidearm, I'm not so sure what he'd do. It's not as easy to transport to and from and wear a sidearm in public in foreign nations as it was 70 years ago. You can't just throw it in the suitcase with the jacket and whip like you used to.

I think a real-life modern day Indy would be using the most up-to-date outdoor equipment, maybe stuff like this:
http://www.coastlineadventures.com/ca1/ ... arkas.html
(be sure to check out the equipment section too http://www.coastlineadventures.com/ca1/ ... _menu.html )
Maybe the MKVII would turn into something like this:
