New England Whip Owners!

Post by Dalexs »

You guys all know who you are! Indianafist, Hemingway Jones, Moloram... etc.

The New England Whip Enthusiasts group was scheduled to meet today in Falmouth, ME but we got rained out (its just outside of Portland, about 2 hours north of Boston.)

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/New_Engla ... thusiasts/

The meet is rescheduled to next Saturday. You guys should really try to make it. We can commute up togethr if you want. The group is growing
bigger and bigger ever since that article came out.

There are even 4 or 5 other people right here in the Boston area.
I'm also trying to organize a Southern NE mini chapter so we can all get together more often.

Lets make this happen! NOW!!!!

Actually, I'm on vacation after Friday and was planning on going home to Philadelphia this weekend. My plans could always change, though. I haven't been back there since Christmas and I miss cheesteaks, pretzels, and good pizza. I am also hoping to pay a visit to IndyBlues, who had better hide that Optimo!

That'a true. You are overdue. You haven't darkened my doorstep in quite a while. We could head up there from my place.

If you guys want to meet at my place and drive up, just let me know.
As long as its not raining, I'm heading up there. Actually, even if it is raining, Eric has had enough time to book the local YMCA.

I would suggest leaving my place by around 11:30. It should be about a 2 hour drive plus a lunch stop.

Well, besides being the hottest, most humid day on record, it was really a great outting. Well worth the trip.
There were only about 5 of us but it made it easier to work out and learn new cracks without a bunch of people getting in each other s way.
I officially learned 2 new cracks (that need quite a bit of work & and I'm thinking a shorter whip!)

The search is on for an inexpensive indoor place to workout seeing how winter is just around the corner.

Unfortunately no one took pictures.
Eric did show us a few video tapes he had. Got a chance to see
Andrew Thomas perform. He is the two handed whip champion of Austraila (I think that was his title) and he's like 17 years old. Some very amazing stuff.

Keep an eye out for future meets. And lets still think about getting together around here at some point.

Hey Steve,

I ended up not going to Philly and heading up to Freeport, ironically enough, for a few hours, but with a different goal. It was an incredibly hot day.

Soon, I'll have to catch up with you. I would like to learn ANY crack. Plus, it's definitely a good way to get Gearheads together.

Well, keep learning those new cracks... I'd like to learn something new in November, if you don't mind!
