Has anyone seen the Cabelas holster that resembles the "Raiders" style? I visited the "HUGE" Cabelas outfitters store in Reading, PA, yesterday...and I came across a near identical Raiders holster for like only $40.
I'm sorry that I dont have any pics, just curious to see if anyone has seen it or bought one from Cabelas.
Kind Regards,
Captain D

Hello Michaelson!
In "canvas" you say? This holster was definitely made of a heavy-duty leather just as Lee Keppler or Noel Howard has made for their holsters. And, it had a nice reddish-brown color to it. I was totally shocked to come acroos it, lol. I picked it up, it fell outta the bag, and I handled it up close. If I had the extra $40, I would have bought it for sure.....especially since I came home and went onto the Indygear main site and clicked on "holsters."
Needless to say, I am beating myself up for letting a "Raiders" holster slip through my hands yesterday .....I'm not an expert on the details on the Indy holsters, but just by handling this holster and going on the Indygear main site, I couldn't see much of a difference!
If I can locate pics or a link, I will certainly post it.
Sincerely,
Captain D

Is this the one?? It seems to come in a variety of sizes, for different barrel lengths.

Hi Indyblues,
I had seen that holster there as well, but it wasn't the one that I handled....
While I was there, I wanted to check out and try on the Cabelas "Safari Shirt" like the one I had seen in the Indygear main site. When I didn't see any, thinking that perhaps they were someplace I wasn't looking since that place was so huge, I went to a clerk to see if they just had them in another spot. He said no, but they tend to get things from time to time in the shop, and items just come and go. Or, items are "just" for their catalog.
So, perhaps, these holsters are just something that "comes and goes." But, had I known that while I was there, I would have definitely bought one. It took me about 2 hours to drive there, but if I can get back there this summer, hopefully they'll still have a few left....
Kind Regards,
Captain D

Hello again!
Its been a good couple of weeks since I had posted in this thread.....However, I just wanted to write a quick note saying that I will be going back to Cabelas in about 2 weeks!
The first thing that I will do, is run right to the gun and holster section, lol! I had tried to get in touch with them about this holster, but with no luck. They kept telling me to check out their website to order the correct item from there. But, I never saw the one that I had seen in person many weeks ago. I just hope that they STILL have a few left.....I'll keep my fingers tied, and let yall know how I made out.....If they have it this time, I'm buying it for sure!!
I'll keep in touch!
