Look like good boots & they're made by Justin who make pretty good western boots.

I can't help it, though they look like nice boots themselves... but even though I am VERY budget minded, I still have no regrets whatsoever for saving up for a pair of Aldens. If even the thought of saving up that much money is out of the question, then these boots look like they could be a good adventure boot for the money. However, my feet are still singing the praises of Aldens! And yes, my feet really do sing!

Aldens, the best shoes I've worn in over thirty years!

I've had the same pair of Alden's for about 4 years now and have went through 1 pair of heels and about 3 pairs of shoelaces. I cannot stress enough how GREAT these boots are. I've worn them across two continents, over 20 states, about 4 different mountains, several bodies of water, and an archaeological dig and they are the most comfortable shoes I have (may I add the non-tred, flat-bottomedness is PERFECT for archaeological digs?). The only complaint I have is the chilliness in the winter near the toes and the fun-on-ice experience only they can provide. If you can, get a pair!

But enough of my high praises--the boots you've found look great except that on a pair of Alden's the high-tops don't go quite that high. But I'd imagine that the steel toe would be quite effective in fights!

Those look to be sturdy boots. Any of them with the Mocc-toe? I would like to get some waffle-stompers for hiking, my Jcrew Deckers don't have enough traction.

Hey Texas, in another read-thru, I see that you already posted on that thread. Didn't mean to repeat info. Also, I notice ont he JCrew website that the only boots they have left are Cognac in size 8 (!!)

Guess we snapped 'em up pretty quick!
