During the AFI 100 Heroes program a little while ago, Harrision Ford stated "whoever decided that Indiana Jones should wear a felt hat and a leather jacket in the jungle should be shot"
In defence of the condemned, I have one word...BUGS! Here in Canukistan, it can't possibly be any more humid (although fairly close) to the jungles of Peru (or the forests of Hawaii) but last night while I was hiking along a creek near my house, the mosquitos were HORRIBLE! Not to mention black flies and other annoying insects. I have to wonder what kind of biting critters buzz around the jungle. Yes, it was very warm, and even somewhat uncomfortable to wear a cow leather jacket in +20 celsius, but I wasn't a mass of itchy scabs this morning. And I was only near a swamp, not a Peruvian jungle.
Just my $0.02. I expect change.

Absolutely!!
Gator: I concur, I would rather be sweaty than stunk dry by mosquito's. Being "folically challenged" having a Fedora on sure has saved me from looking like a polynesian shrunken head . What comes to mind is the Bug's Bunny cartoon of the opera singer who's head keeps shrinking while singing "Figaro, Figaro, Figaro .
BTW...Gator, I can't seem to see the pics of your boots. I can see the cat but nothing else...Oh well...I'll just have to wait for mine to arrive via dog sled.
Warm Regards
