Could someone ID this Colt for me?

Post by IndyFrench »

Hey all,

FINALLY put pictures of this .38 Colt revolver on my personal gear page. I could really use one of our resident experts to give me the exact model of this gun. It's a family heirloom and was used in WWI by my great grandfather.

Is this an M1917? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Just scroll down the page to the "Handguns" sections.

From the photos,it would appear that you have a colt Army Speacial. As I recall these were produced in the late 1890s until about 1908 and were used by both the Army and Navy at the time...Terry
