No nametags at Wested anymore...

Post by Rob »

Could be old news for some of you - conversely it might be new, if you haven't bought a jacket for awhile.

When I ordered my LC jacket last night, I requested a name tag inside. In her reply this morning, Gerry writes:

Unfortunately, we have not supplied name tags for some time now and is the only request we will not be able to accommodate.

Just posting this information incase people didn't know.

Yeah, the machine broke last year and the cost to fix it was too much
to be feasible.

I asked Peter about this when I went over to Wested to pick up my jacket last May. The machine that made the tags broke for some time ago, Peter had it fixed and it broke again, alas. The cost for a new machine wouldn't be covered by the name tag orders by far...
Too bad, though - I would've liked a personalized jacket...

[Well, you beat me to it, Indybill - I'll post anyway...]

Ah yes, but what is saying that we who are interested in name tags cannot have one made and sent to Wested ?!

Maybe with our name like this:

Made for Ken Spassione Jr.
By Wested Leather Company, UK
Signed _________________

and just leave a signature block open for Peter to sign it for us ?

How's that for an idea ?

Sorry! My bad in the early hours of the morning. Someone will scoop it up into the right forum before long, I'm sure :)
