Interesting. I'd never assumed Indy wore the same jacket, with all that travelling he does, working on archaeological sites, lots of rough country and extreme climates, as well as then getting into scrapes, I think I's always assumed he was well known at the menswear store, a frequent customer .

Yes, agreed, that looks great. I haven't found an importer who'll ship one to where I live so settled for the Mercury as I could actually get my hands on one! But the Hubertus looks fantastic.

They listed it before didn't they and it clearly didn't sell. Perhaps they're just seeing what offers they get. I can't see it moving unless they just happen to meet a random billionaire fan and you'd have thought that person might have already appeared if they existed.

Very close Stembridge lookalike just been sold in the UK
Someone has been very lucky to pick up this original M1917, British issued with a factory fitted short barrel. Found this as a result of a random search, and couldn't believe what I was seeing. Deactivated, as it has to be to be sold in the UK nowadays. http://www.deactivated-guns.co.uk/deactivated-...

Fully understand Bear. I don't think I'd be that brave either, unless I had one I could afford to experiment with. You might find it naturally wears on the contact points and weathers down naturally once you get it into a holster. Be interested to see how it turns out. Is it a plugfire cap gun ? :TOH:

Did you know the Tanakas buff up well, as the plastic resin contains metal particles. Don't know how brave you feel but I have seen these buffed up and they come up with a gunmetally look.

I'm not sure but I don't think the umbrella is a Brigg. I own one and they are built around a solid wooden shaft, like a walking stick with an umbrella round it. If you look at the last photo above you can clearly see that the shaft is steel. I think this makes it more likely it is a Fox frame. Howe...
