Wish they would put some measurements on the site in regards to the actual garment. Curious as to the jacket body and sleeve length. Other pics on the site make them look really long in the body.

Awesome! This was actually my 1st Indy jacket before I found Peter start to offer them. Mine's still in great shape as well, though hanging in the closet for a long while now.

Ha! The examples I've seen that have gotten soaked have crazy grain pop out. This leather soaks up water like a sponge and it seems to distort a bit as it dries. I got a new jacket about 6 months ago with the aluminum. I did specify that I never zip up my jacket though. So it'll last for me.

It seems rather sturdy. You'd have to really srew it up to have it break.

I ordered my 1st jacket with lamb without seeing samples because it was the film leather. It still is a great jacket after almost 10 years. They sent me samples which after 5 weeks never arrived. They then sent a 2nd batch which showed up in a week. Then 3 days later the 1st set arrived. Blame it on the mail system.

That's the distressing from the pocket knife. Drag the blade across tight leather and it will stretch it giving you those marks. It's primarily on the main jacket throughout most of the film and the publicity shots. That must have been the favorite jacket.

You can get any lightweight felt to mushroom if you sit on it and crush it. You don't need to go to all this trouble of folding a sweatband. The way it bulges is almost painfuln when it's folded. No actor would wear it that way for a look that only we seem to be obsessed about.

It has to be padding. Has anyone tried folding the sweat over? It's extremely uncomfortable and a pain in the a## to do. Putting padding in is the easiest solution.

I got my jacket in '97 I believe. Wore it every chance I got and still do without any problem. Of course I never zip it up.

Also, I thought the new liner he went with was stronger and more durable so it wouldn't wear out?

I remember Peter saying that the Aluminum zip is available. He just tried to clarify that the Nickel was never used and NOT an option as it was hard to obtain, but the aluminum was easily gotten.

I just ordered a jacket a few months back and received it with no problem.

Actually, I was told they were French military. I had a pair that was used but disintegrated when I washed them ( turns out that it had old stains which had to have been bleach). You might want to ask for the zip to extend to the bottom of the jacket.

Also, ask for no extra inside facings at the zips on inside breasts.

After all the applications I applied, mine is not greasy at all. I let it soak in for 24 hours for each application. Then rubbed it really well at the last. Plus using the lighter in the middle helped it dry out some.

No bleed, no greasy feel.

I took mine (which is a Noel Howard)and sanded the back a little. Then used Pecards brown 3 times. Then I took a lighter to it to darken the back to better match the front. Then Pecards brown again. Then regular Pecards. Doesn't seem to bleed at all.
