Funny that this came up. I got a leather sling for my M1 carbine not too long ago, and it goes on similarly to the bag strap, so I took a second look at it and wondered if it would work as a replacement for my bag someday, or vice-versa.

Very cool find! It's amazing the lengths Gearheads go to really understand every part of the costume. I don't think any other costume in movie history has been so scrutinized! And we are the richer for it, and I am glad for it!

On Facebook a couple people said the shirt seems too thin- that it seems like it is just waiting to tear apart. Others say it is light, soft and comfortable and wears just fine. What do you think about how durable the shirt is? Does it feel fragile or very comfortable? Thanks!

I have one, but it does not have the flap and the closure. Now I'm thinking I have to save up for one of these. But I use the phone holster when I am at conventions or events- it slides next to the holster and keeps my phone out of view and prevents any butt-dialing!

Yep! Knibs7 nailed it. Of course you could get a paintbrush, dip it in stain, cut the handle off and shape it to get the look you want. Maybe an old hand wisk from a fireplace would work, too.

When I bought my Fed IV, everyone here told me to include a note indicating how I was going to use the hat (everyday, as a bad weather hat, as a shelf piece, whatever) and things to consider in sizing. It doesn't look bad! Of course, now comes the joy of sanding, or in some cases you can get a clear "filler" that will make the print lines much less obvious. And, yes, it will be light. If you attempt to print it again, and you want to make it denser and finer (and use a lot more plastic) ...

It really has the cowboy flair of the DP hats. I had one and wore it quite often a few years back but I got lucky and found an 84 Stetson to upgrade to for about $30. I still have that one and use it from time to time. My DP hat ended up going to a very cute young lady!
