Re: Denzel Washington wearing USW in new film

... . Thrall, when you get yours in can you post some pics? Preferably ones where it's being worn? I know there's an obvious difference between black goatskin and brown steerhide, but I want to see what the cut is like. ... . My pleasure to do so. Here they are http://i1347.photobucket.com/albums/p...

Re: Denzel Washington wearing USW in new film

Just saw The Equalizer. Good movie, but I didn't see Denzel wearing the jacket at all. :-k Haven't seen Equalizer. I enjoy Denzel as an actor, he is well spoken, and does not play the idiot. I did not purchase the jacket because of either Denzel or the movie; indeed I did not know about the movie l...

Re: Denzel Washington wearing USW in new film

I had considered the black urban adventurer at the time I purchased my brown USW Lambskin Legend with map lining. I had been searching the Internet for a lightweight leather jacket; I came across USW and was smitten by the jacket with escape map lining; and then I came across COW. My sequence of dis...

IMO, "close enough", more affordable, and much more comfortable. YMMD.

Re: All of the "Close Enough" Boots?

My size 12 shoe size constrains me to one pair of shoes while I travel. One pair, the pair that I wear, must do it all. I can fill up a backpack or small suitcase with an extra pair of shoes. I chose these lace boot shoes for my recent activities in Sweden, Denmark, Norway. Excellent for all occasio...

Ordered! Thanks gents! I am aware that this was a 2013 post. But if someone looking for the "look" but with world class walking in mind, try out Rockport Rocksport for under $100. Rockport noted for being a "walkers" shoe. Mine are fantastic. More at http://indygear.com/cow/view...

Lunch at small 14th century inn near Fredericksburg Slot (Castle) in Denmark - few hours before boarding the ship to Oslo Sweden. I was displaying my escape map liner to several new friends, and my wife captured the liner and lunch. http://s1347.photobucket.com/component/Download-File?file=%2Falbums...

Photo of me with my new USWings iJ jacket and my Rockport Rocksport boots in sizes XL and 12 US if you are measuring. You can't see the Escape Map lining in my jacket, but trust me, it is within. But the map is of France, and I am in Stockholm Sweden. Check out those non-SA Rockport Rocksport boots;...

Re: New jacket care link from USW

I've never personally been a fan of silicone sealants myself, as they do indeed totally seal (definition: close all pores of the leather) and makes the leather water AND air tight. It works, but it tends to make the garment a bit warmer than usual, as the leather can no longer 'breathe'. JMO, thoug...

Re: New jacket care link from USW

I purchased a spray can of Kiwi "Boot Protector." "Tough silicone protection for work and outdoor boots."

Applied three coats, allowing to dry between coats. Applied both on my new Rockport high-top Sport boots and my new USW leather Indy jacket. No apparent discoloration.

What material is the escape map lining made of? Is it the same slippery lining as their other jackets, or is it a different material? Pics would be nice if you could... USW 30th Featherweight Antique Lambskin w. Escape Map Jacket

Received today, exactly what I wanted. Beautiful.

USW 30th Anniversary Featherweight Antique Lambskin Legend Jacket with Escape Map. I was told by Sgt. Hack, it was # 1 out the door.

Love it. I will wear it on my upcoming travels in NW Europe.
