I'd imagine Peter's price would be more competitive than $1,000.00 USD, but only time will tell. At this point I'd just be happy knowing where the project stands.

For those still searching for a Rocketeer jacket:

I've waited and waited for the Wested version. The project seems to have been put on an indefinite hold. Haven't heard any news in a year.

Still waiting on the jacket. A year of patience.
Well, here it is, almost a year and a half since the jacket was announced. Still waiting on it. Anyone tempted to try and make their own?
I'm still trying to orchestrate the most efficient way to build my own Rocketeer outfit.

Wested prototype?
This could possibly be the prototype for the Wested Leather Co. Rocketeer jacket pictured up top in this post. I'd be interested in bidding on it, can you provide a link to my personal e-mail address? It is: csztybel@thatwerks.com I know there are rules on the board about posting eBay auctions, so I...

Hello? ::echo echo echo::
Has anyone heard anything about the Rocketeer jacket lately? Peter said back in October to start looking for it in the new year.

I know how you feel, reservoirdog. It's kind of upsetting that so many people know and love the Rocketeer, but there is such a lack of collectibles out there for it. I am SOOOOOOO glad Wested realized there is a fan base within the film to tap into. I for one will be on Wested's list when the time c...

I'm going to respectfully guide this thread back on track as it relates to the Wested version of the Rocketeer jacket coming out in Spring/Summer 2004. Any information we can share each other would be great. If anyone knows where Jonesy has gone, please advise. I've tried PMing Jonesy for more infor...

I have the authentic lambskin Wested and love it. It can take a beating too It's not like the thing is made of tissue paper. However once the spring/summer rolls around I plan on going camping and such, the authetic goat will be worth looking into. Right now I understand Wested has a hold on all goa...

Hello fellow Jersey person. A state where Bon Jovi and Camaros thrive. I recommend the Joe Strain 8 foot whip. I got mine a few months ago and love it. When it arrived it was a bit stiff, but two months of average use have broken it in nicely. Great tan color too! Remember over time it will darken f...

Oh, come to think of it, I also have Lee's gunbelt. I had forgotten that it was ordered from http://www.westernstageprops.com and that they sell the Keppler gunbelt. The belt is of an outstanding quality as is the bag strap.

Yes, I was speaking with Lee Keppler last night about the jacket details. He was very well versed in its construction. I originally just called to order a bag strap, but I couldn't help but asking him questions regarding the jacket. It's hard to resist when someone has such knowledge in an interesti...

Getting a jacket screen accurate can become a real chore. Because if you have your jacket one way, it's in a certain set of scenes...if you have it another way, it's in another set of scenes. It's good to know that these slight variations guarantee we all basically have a jacket used on screen in on...

The final word on gussets: standard or not
I've found some conflicting reports on the gusset issue on the Authentic Raiders Wested Lamb. Some posts have said the garment comes with gussets regardless of specifying them and some have said they needed to specify. I ordered my jacket mid-September, so if any standard has been set in the past re...

Pre-order
From the language used in the posting from Jonesy, I wonder if a pre-order is required to have a spot on the limited Spring 2004 run of the jacket. "In order to insure a good color match for the leather, all the leather needs to be ordered and dyed at the same time. This is the reason for this ...

I have seen the Rocketeer style boots at the Motor Cowboy site as well. He appears to have the design nailed to the T, but I'd have to investigate further. One particular Rocketeer costume worth taking a look at would be by David Silva. Search for his name using Google.com. He made the majority of h...

I also purchased the Leather Co. holster and it is very well made and accurate according to the photos I've seen here. I would also make the suggestion of at least two coats of Pecard to loosen this baby up. The dye job definitely lends itself to an older appearance. I'd like to mention I spoke to o...

Very nice hate there, sir. I also have the Federation Deluxe and I'm still in the process of breaking it in nicely. The really cool part is the box was mishandled on the way from Australia to my home in the United States, so the crown portion of the bash was complete before I even opened it. I just ...
