I'd imagine Peter's price would be more competitive than $1,000.00 USD, but only time will tell. At this point I'd just be happy knowing where the project stands.

For those still searching for a Rocketeer jacket:

I've waited and waited for the Wested version. The project seems to have been put on an indefinite hold. Haven't heard any news in a year.

Still waiting on the jacket. A year of patience.

Well, here it is, almost a year and a half since the jacket was announced. Still waiting on it. Anyone tempted to try and make their own?

I'm still trying to orchestrate the most efficient way to build my own Rocketeer outfit.

It is now March 2004. I thought by now we'd have new information about the Rocketeer jackets. Peter told me to be on the lookout early 2004. Hopefully things are going well with design and production. Anybody have any news?

Wested prototype?

This could possibly be the prototype for the Wested Leather Co. Rocketeer jacket pictured up top in this post. I'd be interested in bidding on it, can you provide a link to my personal e-mail address? It is: csztybel@thatwerks.com I know there are rules on the board about posting eBay auctions, so I...

Has anyone heard anything about the Rocketeer jacket lately? Peter said back in October to start looking for it in the new year.

I purchased a relatively cheap toy gun (approximately 10-14.00 US dollars after shipping) and converted it to a Raiders S&W pistol. If you would like I could send you a before and after photo to show you the finished product. As for actually buying one, just keep posting to this topic, someone i...

I know how you feel, reservoirdog. It's kind of upsetting that so many people know and love the Rocketeer, but there is such a lack of collectibles out there for it. I am SOOOOOOO glad Wested realized there is a fan base within the film to tap into. I for one will be on Wested's list when the time c...

ITG,

Kinda funny that you ended up using makeup to dirty up things. Fuller's earth is used a lot in cosmetics. I guess that's a case of woman's intuition.

I disagree that the story lacked. It was a good old fashioned action film. The characters were developed enough to get the movie coming across the right way. One of my all time faves.

Hello fellow Jersey person. A state where Bon Jovi and Camaros thrive. I recommend the Joe Strain 8 foot whip. I got mine a few months ago and love it. Fuller's earth is, well, an earth tone. Imagine a dusty road in the middle of summer. Dried up brown midtones with a hint of gray....it's realistic, so no worries of a false looking dirt. Trust me.

I have Lee's Raider's bag strap. The quality of the leather is far beyond that of the strap included with the WPG MKVII bag. Also its accuracy is right on target. Lee is super nice and knows his stuff and it was a pleasure doing business with him.

Fuller's earth is an earth tone. Looks like dried dirt. Tan/gray/brown....it's a nice rich color resembling all of these. It wipes on and stays adhered until you wipe it off with a damp cloth. If applied correctly, there's no telling it apart from kicking your gear around in dirt.

Hi there IndianaJones. I've ordered my fuller's earth from this site: http://catalog.cineshoppe.com/browseGroup.cfm?item_group_id=9344 Fuller's earth does come off, it's basically just a powder used to dust up items to make them appear old & used. An old Hollywood trick to quickly get a particul...

Getting a jacket screen accurate can become a real chore. Because if you have your jacket one way, it's in a certain set of scenes...if you have it another way, it's in another set of scenes. The final word on gussets: standard or not

I've found some conflicting reports on the gusset issue on the Authentic Raiders Wested Lamb. Some posts have said the garment comes with gussets regardless of specifying them and some have said they needed to specify. I ordered my jacket mid-September, so if any standard has been set in the past re...

From the language used in the posting from Jonesy, I wonder if a pre-order is required to have a spot on the limited Spring 2004 run of the jacket. "In order to insure a good color match for the leather, all the leather needs to be ordered and dyed at the same time. This is the reason for this ...
