I too also wear size 38 jackets and have the same problem with Wested indy jackets. Having had a Raiders, Last Crusade, Hero and a Temple of Doom
jacket the fits were either not quite right or baggy.

Only air crewmen could obtain A-2 jackets through regular channels, Paratroopers/airborne (officers only?) were issued with regulation A2 jackets. to report back on it. I don't know how long the wait will be.

It is highly likely that this jacket is made from cowhide. DNA testing has been done on various A2 jackets confirming that cowhide was used.
