Re: Todd's Jacket Owner's Thread
I put in an order for this new jacket. I got a prompt reply from Todd. Hi Erik, I wanted to touch base with you with an update on our new Indy jackets. After several months (including a month lost in transit) the prototype is here! It has been so long since we have had jackets, it was like starting ...

I notice right off the bat that your creases go way to far back to the middle of the hat. They should be more to the front. What is the height of the hat open-crowned? What are your crease heights in the back and the front? Can you show a picture of it open-crowned so we know what we are working with.

I got mike to make me a raiders hat in a different color. His block and bash was perfect. I would just order his standard raiders and give the dimensions and there you go. The turn might be a question mark though. http://i1293.photobucket.com/albums/b589/gunner25111/11143482_991981217480852_10806636...

So he just dry blocked a hat and sanded it down and popped it off and steamed in the bash and the flange? That seems time consuming and difficult for no reason. Do you think that is a better way to go about it? What would be the point?

So I have and I am sure most of us know how a felt hat is made by hand (more or less). Adventurebilt, Penman and others have posted step by step shots of how it is done. So I was looking at Gunner Foxx's hats and I saw his step by step tutorial and it confuses me. https://schaeffersgarmenthotel.word...

I hear what your saying John. When i took this pic the hat had been soaked through and the weight of the water kinda smooshed it. I mean after it dried it tapered a bit and lost some brim break. http://i1293.photobucket.com/albums/b589/gunner25111/Adventurebilt/957AF82B-CA57-4C5F-937C-F4BA865BFF42_z...
