... does anybody have an answer to my question? I e-mailed Wested, but never received a reply.

Does anybody happen to know EXACTLY how much smaller the eighties cut is compaired to the regular cut? Is it done purely in inches or a percentage relative to the jacket's size? I've finally had to accept that I've grown too skinny for my Wested, so it's time for an upgrade. Gotta get it right this ...

I went and snagged myself a pair today. They feel surprisingly hardy, though, as IndyBlues pointed out, they probably wouldn't last too long if you were being dragged behind a truck.

They're soaking up some pecards right now. I'll let you know how they are after I start breakin' em in.

American Eagle Aldens alternates?

I happened to be in the mall the other day and stumbled upon these in American Eagle Outfitters.

I realize they have a rugged sole and lack the quick-lacing abilities of the Aldens, but I think they'd make a fair stand-in (ba doom ching). But has anybody owned a pair? What do you think?

Alden alternates?

Arrr... I haven't been around in a while, I was wondering if somebody could tell me where we stand on decent alternates to the Alden boots? (preferably with a moc-toe)

Wested Fit

I know the "how should it fit" questions are done to death, but how should Indy's jacket fit at the very bottom near your waist? I've realized my Wested might be a little loose in that area as it puffs out a bit even when it's zipped up.

Suede?

I was looking at suede jackets not too long back when it dawned on me... has anyone ever asked Peter to make a raiders jacket out of suede?

I suppose I could just e-mail him and ask, but I was wondering if anyone here knew...

Hahahaha... reading this makes me wanna go to the gym. I really like the look of the action pleats. And on a side note, ever since getting my Wested I always make it a point to look at other people's leather jackets. Especially when my mind wanders in class and the like. I've yet to see anything exa...

Woo, I haven't posted in a long while...
My Wested has gussets. I've noticed that they make the jacket a little easier to slip on and off. They also keep my sleeves from riding up my arm too much while I'm driving.

I think the material looks kinda thin, personally. Thin like the Noel Howard shirt. All the little tiny folds, nuances and the way it hangs on him... a thicker material wouldn't do that quite so easily.

Ah well, just my two cents.

I've got a black bowtie and a goofy red one for special occasions.

They're not clip-on, but they're the pre-tied kind with the strap you fit around your collar.

First time Pecards user...

I just have to say, this stuff is absolutely incredible. The NH strap on my MKVII bag was impossible to work with. After a couple days with some dressing on it, it's wonderfully flexible. And now I've got some rescuing my favorite pair of shoes from the brink of ruin. It really is amazing stuff. Oh ...

Untreated in the rain?

Is it bad to wear a Wested lambtouch, or any high quality leather jacket for that matter, in the rain if it hasn't been treated yet? I really want to wear my jacket tonight, but there's a slight chance of showers. I've yet to receive the Pecards I ordered, so it's still untreated. I'd really hate to...

One strap, two strap, tight strap, loose strap?

I was wondering how tightly other Indy jacket owners keep the side straps on their jackets. I keep my Wested's side straps pulled all the way, I dunno if it's a good idea or not, but I think it looks good :D .
