Re: Weathering on Indys jackets

Yes, you are right. The filmmakers use a lot of jackets while making the movie. What I was wondering is what would happen to the jackets in universe. For example, as someone else mentioned, Indy's shirt at the end of Doom was shredded, so he must have replaced it by Raiders. So in universe, how much...

Re: Weathering on Indys jackets

As a guy who has never given his jackets the water treatment, I have often wondered this. At the beginning of both Raiders and Crusade, Indy takes a plunge and totally submerges his jacket in water. After those "water treatments", would he end up with a nicely weathered jacket, or a destro...

Re: Pulling the trigger

Hello, I didn't mean to disappear from a thread I started, and I have been trying to figure out how to post pictures, without success. Regardless, I would have to say that my washed lamb looks pretty similar to other pictures of washed lamb I have found on this site. Maybe "wavy creases" w...

Re: Pulling the trigger

Well, the Hero came today, and my feelings about it are mixed. I think it fits great. I really like the Hero cut, and going down a size was absolutley the right choice. I gave myself a little high-five for being able to pull off the same jacket Ford wore. But it feels short. Not too short, but short...

Re: Pulling the trigger

Trigger has been pulled. Ordered a Raiders Hero in washed lamb, size 42, 24 inch sleeves, and split the difference on the back, and ordered 24.5 inches.

And who knows. Mayne one day I will decide I need a custom Wested. Or maybe try one of the other vendors.

Re: Pulling the trigger

I thought about that also. I am fretting over a measurement about the width of my thumb. I was worried because I wasn't sure how much length the Hero added, while also considering the difference of going from 44 to 42. I tend to always overthink things. I would make a terrible Indiana Jones. The mov...

Re: Pulling the trigger

I did look around at all the other sellers, but I think the amount I am looking to spend will keep me with Wested. My wife already gave an "Are you for real?" look when I told her I was buying a second jacket. Thank you for the measurement advice! That is along the lines of what I had been...

Pulling the trigger

Hello, So, I have been lurking through these forums forever. I started in the bullwhip forums, eventually moved to the fedora forum, and now have been pouring through the jacket forum. In all this time, the phrase "pulled the trigger" kept popping up whenever somebody committed to purchasi...

Re: David Morgan Whips still worth it?

Just about a year ago, after many happy years of owning a 10 ft Strain, I decided I wanted a pocket whip that I could carry with me wherever I went. So after spending a LOT of time reading through these forums, I found someone (can't remember his name) who recommended a dog quirt from David Morgan. ...
