Re: Todd's Mk VII 1941 originals...
i recently purchased this bag from Todd's too. I've been pretty busy with a lot of other things and stepped out of the Indy loop for a while. So I am just now getting back into it and am looking at straps for the bag. I never paid attention to this part of the forum (the gear) because was only inter...

Re: Post your Indy Briefcases
Bump. Any new briefcases out there similar to Indy's? I love the Filson Field Satchel but don't care for the hardware and from what I've read, the hardware is not very sturdy (but the leather is). It's not easy to find good quality briefcases with functional leather buckle straps. I bought my briefc...

OK, no pics of new AB's recently, so how about some new pics of an old hat. This is my "Ford Felt" AB that is affectionately known as "#1." It has been worn thousands of hours, in the sun, hurricane remnants, blizzards, heat, cold, you name it. Steve made it in December of 2006....

Re: Pics of Todd's Raider Fedora
Aragorn, you've got the side dents on the crown too high and too far back. Reduce them and you'll get the squarish look back. The brim you're doing fine, but trying to put curl in a brim is not easy. You'll need some hat stiffener and a round ring sort of object to iron the brim on. Be careful! Too...

Not sure that Deborah changed the creasing on this hat. I mean why would she mess it up if she already recognized it as a Raiders? I'd rather say he had changed it on it's own while playing around with it. Actually I'm not sure when he had the guts to do so because in those scenes it seems to be st...

Re: Adam Savage talks about his fedora at Maker Faire 2012 (
yeah it seems interesting that she would take what was an already beautifully bashed Raiders hat and put that teardrop/c-shape center bash to it. The brim I can understand her trying to make the hat look lived-in in probably the few short moments she had it in her hands before placing it on his head...

Very VERY informative John! Thank you for sharing! And yes....DEFINITELY a good learning tool for learning how to ID a hatmaker's handy-work. I would love to be able to spot a hat and instantly recognize it from afar. Like knowing the difference between a fine wine and rock-gut wine.

I once left a jacket behind at a little italian restaurant. I could not get back to pick it up for 4 days. When I did, it had the delightful smell of their garlic bread - I was in heaven.
