Re: My Wested Custom
Is that really Novapelle? I gotta say it looks a lot like the Wested horsehide - had one of those - same colour and sheen to it.

Re: My Wested Custom
I gotta agree with KT, the sleeves are too long and the back panel is definitely too wide - assumning your not hunched over taking the pic, if you stand up straight and its the same, then yeah - far too wide. If you send it back - send the pics as KT suggested and Wested should sort it for you based...

Re: How is the the Horse from Wested, lately?
I bought a HH back in August last year, well made, very tough, took a few weeks of constant wear to start to soften up. I ended up selling it as I bought a Novapelle which IMO has alot more character, I wear it pretty much all the time. The HH from Wested seems to have changed over the years, it doe...

Re: Wested Horsehide vs Novapelle
I recently bought a Wested HH and a novapelle - I much prefer the novapelle, may not be as tough as HH but I find it tough enough, it's a substantial jacket and I wear it alot along with my Nowak, USwings and other jackets which are all cowhide. I used to have an Aero which was FQHH. I hardly wear t...

Re: Nowak Jacket Owners Thread
Also, I heard the same thing that sithspawn did. They have been mainly doing expo jackets and such right now... I think they are trying to get out of the business of making the custom jackets. If that's the case then it's a real shame - I managed to get a TNO LC jacket not too long ago, although no...

Re: Nowak Jacket Owners Thread
Does anyone have a definitive answer on what is happening with Nowak jackets? I keep reading that people are receiving new jackets, have tried emailing Riley but to no avail, anyone been to the shop lately? Is he still taking orders or just fulfilling the last remaining ones, is the shop even still ...

Re: to Wings or not to Wings... that's the question.
Thanks for taking the time to post those pics IndyOriginal - jacket looks good. It's good to get an idea of the look of the jacket on someone around my height and size. Did you use the standard Pecards or the brown, which I understand has a reddish tint to it? I've got enough info to make a decision...

Hey raider7, just wanted to let you know that I still intend to post some pics of the CE. Was going to last night but we had terrible flooding in DC/VA area last night...spent hours doing flood damage control in the basement yesterday. God willing, the rain will let up today (weather reports call f...

Re: to Wings or not to Wings... that's the question.
Wow, CRB, you're 5'11'' and that's what the medium looks like on you (spot on)??? I'm afraid to take a pic of me in the jacket now haha. I've always felt that it was a bit big on me, but I might take a pic and find that I look like I'm swimming in it. Just to note, for anyone on the sidelines about...

Re: US Wings Texas Lottery jacket?
There was some flap in mid to late 2008 about the lottery jackets and US Wings. I did a quick search and David Hack verified Wings made the jackets for Arkansas. I didn't see any other states verified by David, but Florida and Texas advertised their lottery jackets came from Wings, but by all accou...

Re: to Wings or not to Wings... that's the question.
raider7 - I actually have the Wings CE jacket in medium. I am 5'7'' and definitely what you would consider 'an athletic build' (I lift weights etc.). The jacket on me is just a tad big loose or baggy unless I wear a sweater underneath etc. My bet would be that it would fit you perfectly, unless of ...

Re: to Wings or not to Wings... that's the question.
Pretty sure - their sizing chart shows that all their sizes are 27" length - I also got measurements from a member who has a medium and his was 27", worked out for him as he is about 5'11". I have asked on another thread that has a Small what those sizes are - waiting on a reply. I kn...

Re: US Wings Texas Lottery jacket?
Good find - intersting that you say it's not much difference to your Todd's in sizing - can you provide some measurements please - pit to pit back length across shoulders sleeve from shoulder to cuff I am considering ordering one of these and thought a medium would be about right - now I'm not so su...

to Wings or not to Wings... that's the question.
Would like some thoughts, I really like the US Wings CE jacket and through a bit of research have established that a Medium is my best bet in most respects. I'm a fairly atheletic build - reasonable proportions 42" Chest 32" hips, even the sleeve length is good, however I am not particular...

Re: New Horsehide LC jacket undesireable crease - advice?
Well thanks to all the advice and a bit of experimentation I managed to get the crease out. Wetting the leather and placing weights on top helped but it was still visible - so I thought I would try ironing again - but this time I ironed from the inside of the jacket through the lining - a little hea...

Re: Imported Legend Quality of Construction
I was looking at getting a US wings CE, I'm in Scotland and emailed Amber about their Returns policy on International orders, seems that all sales are Final. I asked if that applied to faulty items also and if they would give international orders a second check due to the finality of it. Her reply: ...

New Horsehide LC jacket undesireable crease - advice?
Got a new Wested HH LC jacket a few weeks ago - very happy with it high quality workmanship, great grain etc. etc. I will try and get some pics up shortly. However, there is one thing that is bugging me - there is a vertical crease on the back panel - looks like from where the leather was probably f...

Re: Another close enough boot------>
In the market for boots myself - though not at Alden prices - spotted these on the Next website - available in UK (£70) and USA ($115). Thought they were Indy' ish, tempted to give them a go for everyday wear, particularly as the soles are a bit more rugged. Here in Scotland a smooth sole is useless...

Re: Wested's HERO jacket...
jnicktem, nice jacket - question, with the sleeves being set off the shoulder did you order your normal sleeve length? if so how is the fit? would you recommend ordering a slightly shorter length to accomodate this or has Wested built this into the design - if you know what I mean?
Thanks
Thanks

I agree..If you want it safe and sound, stay home and hide under the bed....COW takes no prisoners and gives no quarter! :o  I never said that I wanted it safe and sound - I think buyers can be made aware of all the pitfalls - but you don't have to turn to trading personal insults to do it.!!!

Re: Wested's HERO jacket...
Hi, I'm new to the forum and about to purchase my first jacket, I had visited Wested awhile back and was very impressed with the quality in the store - but did not purchase a jacket, (more to do with finances at the time), this was many, many, years ago. I have re-kindled ny interest in getting the ...
