^^^

That's the correct answer. It's just so that the knot gets snugged up.

You're right ITG, it's a 6 footer. I was originally going to get an 8 footer, but changed my mind and just spaced when I was typing the above. The handle is about 1 inch diameter, and the whole thing weighs something close to 1 pound - I haven't weighed it and I'm a horrible judge of weight. I belie...

His website crashed back in about April and he pretty much lost all the images and text that he'd generated. He has't gotten around to putting it back up yet, and he was pretty vague in terms of when he might get around to it. He's going to have surgery on a bad shoulder, so I half suspect that he's...

I know this is old, but on the off chance you hadn't gotten this answered. the fall on my nylon whip is simply slid through the hitch and knotted so it can't slide back through. It's very easy to pull it out towards the handle of the whip. Mine is also a flattened piece of paracord.

New Tim Bass nylon whip!

Tim came through for me! I got my new 6 foot whip on Tuesday and I've been playing with it so much that I've got a huge knot in my shoulder. ;) Some pictures: http://users.rcn.com/jmaclear/will/Whip%20006.jpg http://users.rcn.com/jmaclear/will/Whip%20004.jpg http://users.rcn.com/jmaclear/will/Whip%2...

He's currently working on a whip for me (yay!), but he's told me that he's having a very hard time with his shoulder recently. I didn't ask what he did to it, but it's apparently bad enough that he said he's been having trouble cracking his own whips!

Just an FYI sort of thing.

I'm by no means an expert, but I'm currently having a nylon whip made for me by Tim Bass. He sent me some samples of the nylon cords he uses and it was more of a flattened out tube rather than a strip - a lot like webbing. It was right around a quarter inch wide. I'll bet you can buy spools of the s...
