Re: Indy-esque Cotton Jacket

That is a great idea! I'd never have thought of that. Now I'm getting some ideas. Thanks!

Re: New Smell Update! Getting cigarette smell out of jacket

Coffee makes some people too hyperactive to be able to clean a coat effectively.

Good for smuggling though.

Re: My new Wested Raiders!!

Mine (cowhide) looks pretty good, but that is from an untrained, not-going-for-SA eye.

That goat does look nice.

Re: Small/Smell Update! Getting cigarette smell out of jack

I know I'm a little late to this topic, but I've found that wiping down the leather with mild soapy water, then wiping dry works on the outside- repeat if needed. As for the lining, as others have soft of said- turn inside out and air. This is particularly effective if you can put it in direct sunli...

Re: Problem with Wested, yes, again...

For the life of me I don't know why anybody gives these people their money... I fully agree with that! The service is abysmal, which is a shame as the product is good. 5 emails later and they still haven't gotten back to me with answers to a simple question on jacket sizing. Don't they realise that...

Re: Global Gear Jacket from Australia

Just don't make the mistake of turning up to one in Medieval clothing- unless everthing is a potential 'Star Trek exploring-a-new-planet moment' for you.

Nothing against those guys, but let's face it. Indy has a HAT and WHIP! :whip:

Re: Another Wested ToD

you have to talk to Peter when it comes to Indy jackets and skin.. NOT Gemma. You have to talk to Peter for anything! I've sent three emails regarding buying a second jacket, and Gemma hasn't even seen fit to respond! I'm beginning to regret sending them my business, and I don't think I will again....

Like so much of Robin William's work- plagerism.

Let's just say "Murphy was an optomist."

Re: Global Gear Jacket from Australia

Global gear has a tendency to do cheap and nasty on non-branded items. I personally wouldn't buy anything from them unless you know exactly what it is. And they generally tend to be overpriced. In my experience anyway.

Re: Tough decision, need help

I just got my Raiders cowhide from Wested, and it is nice !!! It is a nice thick, heavy leather that I'll get years of abuse out of. If you were after something less stiff, goat is seriously nice- soft and good looking. I can't comment on Wested's goat though, as I have never felt it. I'll probably ...

Re: Brand Spanking New Wested Dr. Who coat

A bit off topic, but has anyone got or seen the 'Mission Impossible' jacket from Wested?

I was thinking of picking one of those up and/or the Dr Who jacket.

I'm glad to hear the Dr Who one is good.

Re: my fedora from DisneyLand

I recently got one of those (a few months ago). It is what has started me along this 'slippery slope' of Indy fandom. I've always been a HUGE Indy fan, but it was only upon discovering this hat at Disneyland that I realised how much more was available. I love my hat and wear it often, but I can't wa...

Re: so...any ONE jacket owners out there?

I only have one jacket- well as soon as it gets here... I bought the Wested Raiders 38 custom in cowhide. I wanted something that looked great and was functional (hard wearing). I love being able to wear clothing in both hard conditions, and out to dinner in good restaurant. Flexibility is the key. ...
