Okay, good.

And thanks for clarifying about lambskin/Leather dressing!

Nappa Leather care?

Just ordered a jacket made of "Nappa Leather." I'm curious as to know what I should condition it with when it arrives? I usually use Pecards Leather dressing on all my leather, but Googling Nappa Leather, says it could be anything from Lamb-(Sheep/kid), Cow, or Pig...I know you're not supp...

Leather Care

What do you guys recommend for older, worn leather jackets? I noticed on US Wings site, they endorse something called BlackRock Leather 'N' Rich (anyone ever use it?). All I've ever used in the past was Pecards Leather Dressing, but I thought I remembered reading here (or somewhere) that for older j...

Re: Schott Flight Jacket

Nice, thank you for the info! The one I'm looking at is a 674. No fur on collar, satin lining. The back panel doesn't have that strip of leather at the bottom either. The current owner says they purchased it last year from someone who had been in the Air Force 18 years ago or had served for 18 years...

Re: Schott Flight Jacket

They do/or did, but upon further research the one I'm looking at is not military issue. :-k "While we have made jackets for the military, this is not a genuine military jacket. All jackets made for the military have their military spec label and contract number, though the label will have the m...

Schott Flight Jacket

I have an opportunity to possibly get one for $100. It's supposed to be around 20 years old, military issue, but in good shape. Is that a good deal? I know new Schotts are quite pricey, but I have no idea about the quality of those made for the military. :-k

Re: Wested Vintage Leather Jacket

I talked to Gemma through email-she said they can't alter it because it's imported (which explains a lot on the quality), guess I must've missed that part in the description before I ordered. I think I'll wear it around the apartment for a few days and and then decide whether or not to send it back ...

Re: Wested Vintage Leather Jacket

Yeah, that's why I'm not sure if it's worth the hassle of sending back. The liner I can live with. I've heard the satin linings in Wested's are the first to go anyway. You do get what you pay for, and I believe this style is the cheapest one Wested has to offer. The constricted feeling I can get use...

Re: Wested Vintage Leather Jacket

Well, that was fast. It shipped on Monday and it's here today (West Coast of Florida). Overall I think I'm happy with it. The stitching on the "quilted" liner is pretty crappy...ugly knots all over the place and threads loose making the quilted pattern incomplete in places. I have a feelin...

Re: Wested Vintage Leather Jacket

haha, You guys would reply less than 24 hours after I place my order  . Glad it sounds like a made the right decision. I wasn't sure if the large would be too big or not-I was hoping to get a snug fit. Medium isn't even an option anymore..or they're just out of stock in that size, not sure. I k...

Wested Vintage Leather Jacket

Has anyone here ever bought one of these? Just curious what experience people have had with Wested's non-Indy jackets.

Thanks!
