You should get a fall made of whitehide or redhide or something like that. As long as they're greased every so often you won't have a problem with them breaking.

If you have an Australian style bullwhip or stockwhip, you probably need a lighter fall. American style ( joes are called lone star ) or Indy style bullwhips probably need a heavy fall. Still it'll probably be best to ask joe himself. He'll know for sure seeing as he made the whip.

Something like this recently came up on another forum. If you can get the name of the original owner, you can ask the people at David Morgan. They were able to track a whip made in the 80's just from the buyers name if I remember right.

Between the two.... uh... todds. But neither are really useable. Todd's are more screen accurate than magnoli whips, but both are definitely not made for use. Strict costume pieces. It'll work its way out over time. No need to remove it before giving it leather dressing. My whips used to spew, but they very rarely do anymore. I wonder why... I'd suggest getting a Todd's costumes whip then. Since you don't want to crack, and want a nice costume piece, theirs is exactly what you want, plus their pricing is great for what they give. They definitely look better than jrzjoe whips.
