Re: Orvis Indy-style jacket: I want it

Yup, too rich for my wallet, but that's a great looking jacket. Kind of reminiscent of HF's jacket in ESB, in fact. Which I also covet. Best thing off the rack I've found is J. Crew's Utility jacket.

Re: How much do people recognize yours as Indy's?

Years ago, the security guy in the lobby of my wife's building downtown stopped me to ask about my jacket. He recognized it and wanted to know all about how I got it. I gave him the URLs of Wested and COW. That made me feel pretty good. More recently, on my last trip to Disneyland, the Cast Member a...

Wested Lamb, six years on

I've been meaning to do this for a while: some shots of my jacket, purchased in 2005. I can't believe I've had it that long. Other than a single acetone rubdown shortly after I first got it, this is all natural. Truth to tell, I've only ever treated the leather once, also. Shame on me, perhaps, but ...

I think the Raiders opening hat does it for me. It's the beginning of the first movie, you don't know who this guy is, and you just see his silhouette. The shape of the hat there is so iconic. Then you see him come out of the shadows--after he whips Barranca--and you're like, "Woah, this guy is...

Why exactly does a hat have to consist of animal fur? Why can't it just be felt? I have nothing against furflet blends, but I'm just curious.
