I have the exact same knife as yours laying around here somewhere and you are right, they just don't make them like they used to. :TOH:

I would leave the laces the way they are, they give a nice contrast, but to each his own. Nice find by the way. :TOH:

And those pics certainly agree with you.

Beverlid, I must say that is one of the best looking ABs I've seen on this forum. Definitely looks better than brand new. :TOH:

Re: Would this Fedora be considered an oxymoron in the hat w

I agree that the hat does not compare to that of a custom job, but still a nice hat considering it is factory made. Sure, it doesnt have the best materials available, but how many custom hats do? All things considered I think it might be worth the price they charge, though I wouldn't have paid full...

Re: Would this Fedora be considered an oxymoron in the hat w

I also bought one about 4yrs ago, though it may not be completely SA, the felt certainly is tough as nails.

I wouldn't say that the construction of the hat is on par with a custom hat, but the materials are top notch!

Re: so...any ONE jacket owners out there?

I too only have a US Wings CE, and I really dont foresee myself getting another jacket. The jacket is just everything I need, it would be nice to have a custom someday, but I'll probably wait until I destroy this one. :D That might be hard, seeing how well it has held up in the past years, and I don...

I seem to remember hearing years ago that raw (un-varnished) cedar may be corrosive to some materials, I dont know how true that is but I thought I'd just throw that out there. :TOH:

Thanks for posting those pics. :TOH: As soon as I find a camera that I can borrow, I will post some pics of my US Wings CE using various lighting sources. Keeping my fingers crossed on finding a camera because I would really like to have some pics using the light of an open fire!! =P~

Re: The well of souls look?

I think it's the lighting. The Well of the Souls, and Raven Bar are my two favorite scenes from the movie, and to my eyes the jacket, even the fedora, look very much alike save the effect of the lighting (and dust!). I think what we need is a thread in which someone is able to take one jacket and s...

Re: Saved by my G & B Goat!

Reminds me of my US Wings CE. My old man has a dog that is part wolf and he loves to wrestle (biting and clawing) with me every time he sees me. With the teeth that monster has I am surprised my jacket has held up. Actually there is little evidence to show for any of his "attacks". Just go...
