Re: whipmakers nightmare......
Sounds like your whips have been stored somewhere warm and humid.Mold needs moisture to grow so storing in a humid environment will help that along. Try putting it out in the sun after you wipe it down and if that helps then give it a good coat of leather dressing

For emi shipping,(express post) from Australia to the US I charge $70.00 flat rate, (it's usually more) so I imagine Terrys charges would be roughly the same. For ordinary airmail it's $40.00 but cannot be tracked and can take up to 20 days for delivery.

What do you think, how many strands are 'useable' yet in cracking so not to be worried about breaking them? I mean strands on the thong, because I've seen Chris Barr stockwhip's handle which was 72 plait  20? 24? For regular everyday cracking you could go to 32 plait without any problems whi...

I was recently asked by a customer if I could make him a shoulder holster for his whips. Hi Holmes, Stock whip keeper , lenght will depend on width, with the hinging being on the handle keeper with little or no hinge on the thong . It should be loose enough that the handle keeper be able to hinge in any direction. you dont want it too tight. Have to disagree with you there. I make mine...

The pity of it all is that if they do decide to cull the roos not one of those skins will make it to a tannery. The reason for that being because they are not part of the official yearly cull so because of that they will most probably be disposed of by being buried.
