The hat DIDN'T sell for $650.00. I know because I was the one who bought it. I've watched the AB fedora market for quite some time and the average price one is going for is around $450.00. So yes, Steve's hats ARE holding their value some as a used AB is worth about the same as a new Penman. However...

I've never had any luck with pecards. Everything I've put it on overly darkened things and it all stayed sticky (some stuff still is even after I've wiped it off a few times). I think I'll try conditioner next time.

For bag straps my preference is bridle leather. It's not SA, but I prefer the durability and the leather breaks in quickly with regular use.
