Re: WWID...about damage to his jacket?
Sure. I understand there are differences with the actual hats and jackets, but movie after movie Indy looks the same to the average movie goer. Sans close up, minute (as in small) examination, the gear appears to be the same: Brown leather jacket, brown fedora, khaki pants, white to off white shirt....

Considering that much of Indy's adventures occurred either during or immediately after the Great Depression, I think he would have went the cheapest route possible and either repaired the goods himself or had them professionally repaired until they were completely worn out. If you're looking for a hat to do yardwork in and keep the sun off of you, you should look for at least a 3" brim. If you want it to be weatherproof, look for "oilskin" cotton (I think that is what it's called). Try Hats in the Belfry. I got a 3" brimmed oilskin cotton hat for un...

I really can't speak to SA, but if you want to wear it as a regular jacket I think the Wested looks nicer. The leather looks nicer and it doesn't have a seam running down the back like the Rockseventy jacket

I'd love to see a screen reminiscent ( :- ) Last Crusade from Todd's. I love the Bantu Wind and think that if he could offer a Last Crusade at the same price point it would be a huge hit. Aaron, It's not a Wested, but I used Lexol conditioner to darken my US Wings antique cow Hero jacket. In my humble yet always right opinion, if you're going to spend that much on a leather jacket, get goat, cow, or horse. They're all far more durable than lamb. Magnoli once sent me pics of a pre-distressed LC in goat. It looked phenomenal. Very much like the movie jacket.

I'd buy a G&B goat before I'd pony up $400 for any lamb jacket from any vendor. Even though lamb drapes nicely, it tears more easily than goat, cow, horse, etc. I could have bought four "Bantu Wind" jackets for that price and beat the poop out of them and kept the others as backups!!! ...

To me best all around for the money implies value , so I'd have to say my US Wings Antiqued Hero.
