And then there's the other variable- arm, wrist, and grip strength. These alone are enough to cause a person to prefer a certain style whip.

At the risk of drawing much ire from D.M. fans, I would like to add my two cents....not about the fall and cracker, but dealing with lead loading. *Disclaimer*-This is just my opinion based on personal experiences. First, thanks for the compliments. I began making whips 21 years ago with my grandfather when I was 15 years old. He made very crude, cowhide whips (mostly 8 plait) which were made to be used, not showpieces. The majority of these whips were made with greenhide cores and occasionally rawhide. I have...

Finally Finished My Newest Whip

Thought you might like to have a look at my newest creation. It's an 8', 16 plait, kangaroo with 4 plaited bellies. Special thanks to Bernie for the inspiration for this whip.
