Re: The Penman post 'em up Pages....The Adventure Continues...
The sky's deep blue is gorgeous and the contrast is amazing against the nice rich brown of the hat! =P~ Bear I thought it made for a cool shot! Appreciate the feedback Bear! Wow, that looks way better than the hat I received in 2021. Also, like others said, that sky shot is phenomenal. It’s weird t...

He definitely is! Ever since I received it I feel like I can hardly stop looking at it lol. It’s cool seeing both my Penman’s side-by-side. You wouldn’t even be able to tell they were made thirteen years apart. Next time I’ll post a comparison shot of them as well.

Re: The Penman post 'em up Pages....The Adventure Continues...
Thanks Bear! Figured why not get the sky in there too for contrast. The hat was already looking good and well-made out of the box, but once I started shaping the brim and adjusting the pinch, the hat really started coming to life. I’ll post more photos soon! And thanks to John for the great hat and ...

Re: The Penman post 'em up Pages....The Adventure Continues...
I received my Adventurebilt beaver Crystal Skull from John last week. First Indy hat I’ve bought since my Penman Raiders thirteen years ago. That first one fits me kind of tightly now. I can still wear it, but I feel some pressure on my head. Especially when my hair is at a more medium-long length. ...

Re: Is Herbert Johnson the holy grail of indy fedoras now?
I’ve never bought a Herbert Johnson, but I’m very much wanting to get one. I’ve read on HJ’s Facebook that the Temple Poet has a “paired down” brim compared to Raiders, which I take to mean that it’s slightly narrower. Which I think would suit my face better than the wider brim. But can anyone say w...

Re: Todd's Jacket Owner's Thread
Man those new Todd's jackets look great. I've been out of the Indy gear game for a while now and trying to keep up with it more now. I have a Todd's jacket from 2009. The thing I didn't like about it was how short it was. Does anyone know if the new runs are longer than those?

Yes those boots are nice in their own right, but as a "Raiders" boot it really isn't close. Must have been a real bummer to wait that long and receive something different than what you originally thought you would. Glad you guys were able to get refunds from them. Maybe a later run will co...

I think I'm a fan of every look of the hat in Raiders, especially SOC and the Idol grab scenes. At the same time I like the LC and CS as well.

These new boots look pretty darn good, and they sound to be sturdy and better than the old ones. Looks like it's worth the price increase. Even though I have Aldens these still look nice to have.

The whip looks great! Yeah maybe the fall is dried and needs to be greased. Some Pecards should help. Try not to use too much force, because you don't need a lot for it to crack. And try to focus on your form. Have fun with it!

I like all of them. But if I had to choose one, it'd be Raiders. But I also like how the TOD looks. I like that battered, worn, wrinkled look. And I like how it fits. The distressing of the LC is cool too.

Looks like a TOD to me, even a Raiders. Looks well used and broken in! I also like the limpy, wet-noodle look of some of the whips. Looks cool like that.

Like TheExit148 said, Todd's boots are heavier than Aldens. I noticed the difference right away. And I'm also more used to wearing light sneakers. The Nikes I have feel like air! But yeah I guess you just have to get used to carrying the extra weight.
