Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter

I thought I would post a 4-year update on my Relic Hunter. This jacket has been used every season since Fall 2016, and really has aged well. There is no distressing or Pecards treatments, just wearing everyday. And the occasional run in with the very abrasive NYC subway walls. I think it's slowly sh...

Just got my US Wings charcoal lamb today and thought I would post a couple pics for comparison. This is my first Indy jacket since 2016, and my first US Wings jacket since 2009. Their quality has remained top notch. I was really pleased with the substantial weight and quality of the jacket, it reall...

For what it's worth, I have seen the gap in that scene from my DVd, but I never saw it in any other scenes. Funny how choices define history. All I can say about the VIP is that it is a HEAVY leather. I can pick up my Antique Cow and kindof toss it over my shoulder or fling it on my couch. The VIP has a heaviness to it that is quite unique. It has to be thicker than most in my non-educated opinion. I really love that VIP though.

This Large appears bigger, roomier than the AC you had pics of last month. Is that due to sizing or just the thickness of the leather?

Weston,
Not a bad idea. I think if you hold off you will get more pronounced creases on the sleeves which will look really cool. The Pecards dulled my sleeve wrinkles which is one of the few regrets I have on using it.

I don't think Pecards is mandatory on these jackets at all, but it definitely didn't ruin it. It did darken it up and you don't see the textures and colors as much, but it's a different look that is beautiful in it's own way. I agree that it is great on it's own. I used standard Pecards Conditioner....

I think the pockets are wide on this model in general but those seem wider than usual. I used Pecards on my AC a couple days ago and it darkened it up considerably. I think it would definitely even out the leather variations. As for the white spots, that's a new one to me.
