Re: Looking for my new hat, recommendations wanted
Yeah, open up the crown and then stick a measuring stick next to it and eyeball the height. If it's an AB Henry, the height should be 5 1/2 inches, although taper may have lowered it. So I guess if you're looking for a lower crown, HJ's "new" block (5 1/4 inches) would be an improvement. ...

Re: Looking for my new hat, recommendations wanted
You could very easily have your AB Henry reblocked - if you don't feel like sending it back to Marc, there's plenty of people stateside that would be happy to reblock it - David Garrison, John Penman, Steve Delk, etc. If that's not your cup of tea, I put my vote in for HJ - it's rabbit, it has a sc...

Looking for my new hat, recommendations wanted
It's been years, but I'm finally going to "retire" my AB Henry. The crown has tapered over the years and wear is starting to show at the pinch. I have a hand made Beaver from Northwest Hats that I keep as a dress hat and won't distress it for gearing up, but also because the crown height i...

Finally got it a few days ago. Apparently, a clerical error was the cause of it not being shipped right away. I recently got mine before he sold out.
While I love the color, fabric and overall comfort - more than a few people have commented how it looks too baggy in the crotch. I'm starting to get a little self concious wearing this out now because most of the time it seems that's the first comment I get.

After nearly four years of proudly owning and wearing my Adventurebilt Henry, I finally decided it was time for a gray hat. I recently re-shaped my Henry after several years of it's original bash I gave it. I've noticed that with my black Adventurer, the brim seems to want to go back to beeing wonky in shape and it holds a bash about as well as a piece of steel.

If it distresses with a brown or reddish brown then I am sold.

It's SO true how colors will look one way by themselves, and a completely different way when next to another. I will look into the WPG shirt as an option.
I think the shirt should have at least a TINY smidgen of Khaki to it, not entirely gray.
My Adventurebuilt shirt is great in design, but I've always been dissapointed in the color.
What is commonly considered the actual color of Indy's shirts?
