Full-disclosure: wetting treatment just gives it an instant broken in look. Aside from a little shrinkage (which some refer to as molding to your body as it conforms to your cracks and curves) there is no real harm done it that is going to destroy your jackets quality.....if you don't do it, the jac...

The fit was great considering how far away these guys are.....unfortunately I have put on a little weight since then and now it's a little snug! ;) but they took lots of measurements and, even with their hats, they pretty much hit the nail everytime!

I used the regular earth I received from Todd's. That one is slightly greyish.....I don't know if they come in different shades. But either way, it tends to eventually just blend in for me. At first it might seem like over kill but then take some pics of yourself and see what it looks like on film. ...

If your interested in getting some real close screen accuracy, do the soft paintbrush thing with the Fuller's Earth while freeze framing the film.....it will really look awesome!

I have and have had several of these hats.....LOVE the block on them (open crown), felt and ribbon.......BUT several other members told horror stories of how easily they tapered so I sold a bunch and the two I have left get used only for special occasions as they do seem a little upscale in the soft...

Fuller's earth and a soft sponge and dap it in the spots you think should be stressed and then use a soft paintbrush to blend it in better and it will keep the look until you decide to seriously brush it out. That works for me!

The US Wings featherweight Legend that I had was the most lightweight jacket I have EVER owned. I loved the patina, the drape, the fit, everything except the lining and that inevitably made me get rid of it.

I have the Walter Lace-Up from Frye and they are great boots.....especially after they break in. I've been very rough on them and have had no issues. Pricey but I am VERY happy with them.

Yes it is......it has a very burnt ubra look to it color wise....and the spots that are smoothing out get very dark brown....

I know everyone likes to tout their favorite hats and hatmakers but as an old guy around here, I think I can say with the greatest amount of certainty that quite possibly the toughest Indy hat out there would start with PeterBros. And their aptly named "Bullet Proof" Indy fedoras! :[
