Re: handwarmers in a Wested?

I have a Wested ROTLA and the material in the hand warmers is the same as the one used for the liner. As for deformation, I've only had the jacket a couple of weeks, so I don't know.

Re: After years of hand-wringing: my first Wested!

I get a flying-squirrel effect when I lift my arms away from the body. If the armpits were sewn a bit higher, this wouldn't be the case. this is something i noticed as well with mine..didnt know it was a real issue, just thought i was being a little picky..BUT its kind of stupid how its made..of cou...

After years of hand-wringing: my first Wested!

I haven't posted here in years, but I thought I'd share a pic of my very first Wested jacket. ROTLA goatskin size 38. It's snug in all the right places. I'm just a bit disappointed in the low armholes. https://scontent-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/v/t1.0-9/10991375_10152605812146059_876017421094211...

If I spent that much on footwear, I wouldn't want to wear them out of the house! Give me a solid surplus combat boot any-day.

Re: Bathrobe/Smoking jacket

In wandering around department stores with my wife over the past week or so, I'm happy to say I've seen more nice men's robes on sale this Christmas, so don't rule out running down to your local stores and checking out their stock. Some really nice 'throw back' vintage designs this year. Regards! M...

Re: Bathrobe/Smoking jacket

So what you guys are saying is that I should visit a tailor, huh? EDIT: I've just asked the wife if she's up to the challenge. I have a blazer that was custom made for me. I'm thinking if we follow those measurements, give it a shawl collar, ample room in the front for the overlap and extend down to...

Bathrobe/Smoking jacket

Hi folks, I've been on the lookout for a bathrobe/smoking jacket similar to the one Indy wears at the beginning of Raiders. Any idea where I should look? My google-fu is weak with this one. Any patterns? Thanks! Here are pics of the robe in question: http://www.theraider.net/films/raiders/gallery/dv...
