Also, be careful. Some felt is prone to shrinking, so just the simple act of steaming it over and over and over to tweak the bash will cause the felt to shrink and do funny things.

Not saying that "for sure" of the Downtowner, but just know it can happen.

For me, I have 6 or 7 Todd's. Some guys find the color off, but I think they look great, feel great, and get better color with age. Todd has spent a lot of time getting the design right (I believe using screen used shirts for the research).

But a guy can iron leather or use a steamer to get wrinkles out. it's tricky, but basically it's like steaming out any type of garment. I've dyed lots of leather using Tandy's leather dye (mostly belts and armor from my days in the SCA...google sca armor fighting and horse tack).

I've never tried a jacket however, but it should work just fine.

Well, after a very very very long wait...my NEW todd's jacket is arriving today. Sold my old one when the BW came out, and now have the BW retired to the Indy Costume display stand. Keep in mind, sanding is going to change the size of the block, so be careful there. A bunch of us were using bondo to modify blocks. It finishes out better and holds up better. I think the servo is the color you would want. With wear and leather conditioners like pecards or Dr. Jacksons they will show some nice character and mild deepening/darkening color.

IMO the Wyo. is too dark.
